What is the best way to get traffic to our DJ website?

I have put as many keywords in our website as possible but we do not get very many site hits a day. If you type in Sacramento DJ in google, our craigslist listing comes up in about the second page. I am just looking for a way to get our name and website out there for DJing in the Sacramento, CA area. Anyone know of any good DJ databases or lists that would be worthwhile joining? Thanks!

Advertising via Adwords is a good option.
You can advertise your site via Google Adwords, but adding your campaign in Adwords is not free and they charge money for showing your ads. If you use both Adwords and the other program I mentioned, you can advertise your site for free and get loads of targeted traffic.
Adwords is a good option but costly.. There are alternatives to generate free traffic.
1. Make a review page blog on blogger or any other blog site and place link.
2. Write an article on article directories(for eg ) publish and ping. this will attract traffic from search engines.Dont forget to attach a link to your site on the page.
3. Write a press release on free press release sites about your site and place a link.
Participate in social networks that market to your target market. Whether it by clubs, music, nightlife, or other social networks fully participate and offer some good info so people find your DJ website and enjoy it.
Also make sure you add sacramento and DJ in your title tags and on the page. This will help you get rankings in Google and Yahoo.
I would suggest social networking websites such as Myspace and Facebook..
