Start off with VirtualDJ, google it it’s an excellent program, and then when you get some equipment set it up with VirtualDJ, and there you go your a pro.

If you attend a local club they sometimes teach you djing.

Try contacting your local youth organisation.

Yes use Virtual DJ it is Great a few companies make it now – also Get a Job with a company that is established as a helper or roadie – look for a good company that will pay you low at first but will let you advance in the future – don’t expect to start off DJing right away! Especially because of your age – it doesn’t look professional nor do you have a Drivers Lic. to get to events by yourself—But if you have the passion and the owner see that then you will be ahead of most other djs because you learned young. Good Luck check our site out in sources

1st of all start small. your not going to become Tiesto in 12 months

    try for advice.

basically ( i dont know if you know this) you’ll need a mixer, 2 turntables OR 2 cd players and headphones (and some crappy speakers to start off with, old pc speakers do fine and are cheap 2nd hand) Thats to start mixing in your bedroom. only bringing one track into another etc.

the best peice of advice i can give you (to start mixing) is try and get lessons. some dj equipment stores (including vinyl stores) run short courses (running for 2 months, going once a week for about 2 hours) these are awesome and will def help you in the long run. or ring and ask a dj (yellow pages) to show you the ropes and pay him/her

to start producing toons (or remixing) then use computer programs such as “fruity loops” or “acid pro” Production is the art of making a song. Mixing is using it in a set at a club/party/bedroom/podcast

to start off with go on dj forums. go to local stores. ask questions like you just did.

    google is awesome for learning.

    and enjoy!

I have to agree with a previous answer. Get hooked up with a local mobile Dj company as a roadie or something. Alot of them won’t let you DJ until you’re 18 but by the time you’re old enough to spin you will know more than alot of DJ’s. Once you know the basics of mixing then you can get into the complex art of remixing and mixing your own. It is not as easy as it looks/seems but knowing the basics before jumping in head first will help alot

Start with digital DJ software. That will be less expensive. But do one thing…post your videos in the sites for free. Let others see it and evaluate it. Then you will have an idea how you work is. At the same time, your work may bring you more work. So upload. Here is one site
